This pair of bronze sculptures plays with both humour and vulnerability. Continuing the pear series, Paunch leans into the theme of body type — the soft, rounded form that quietly resists being seen. Perceived, its counterpart, is about presence — being viewed, noticed, and interpreted by others.
There’s a dialogue between the two: Paunch recoils from attention, while Perceived exists only in relation to it. Together, they reflect a shared tension between self-image and public gaze — both conscious of themselves, but too consumed by their own projection to truly interact with the outside world.
