Artist Statement
After graduating from art school, I built my own foundry to continue casting bronze independently. As I learned the intricacies of bronze casting, my creative themes evolved toward generational patterns, shared nostalgia, and organic forms — including fruit and body casting — as a way to explore storytelling through material.
Edition Philosophy
My sculptures are made in limited editions of 28, a number inspired by the 28 panels on the south doors of the Florence Baptistery by Lorenzo Ghiberti. I encountered the remaking of these doors in 2016, and the intersection of ancient history and contemporary foundry practice left a lasting impression. That moment sparked my desire to contribute to the legacy of bronze casting. The number 28 remains a reminder of that experience — and of the value of dedicating a lifetime to careful, deliberate craftsmanship.
Current Research 2025
In 2025, I’m developing a research project on the social structures reflected in analog games, while also exploring the broader historical context of Minimalism and its recurring forms across time.
